My Love
He loves me like no one else.
He knows the real me,
Yet stays by my side;
He makes me laugh when I am down.
Being around him
Makes me feel like I’m the one.
His kiss burns as he leaves his mark on my lips,
Like fire leaves a scar.
As I wait for his next flame,
He gives me all he’s got,
Torching me with lips of poison.
I love the way he holds me
And squeezes my hand,
Like he’s afraid I won’t return.
It seems that every time I see him,
I lose my mind . . .
I can’t think straight . . .
When he is close, I can feel it.
Cupid’s arrow goes right back through
That fragile heart of mine . . .
