The bed of my dear king

Is oh so very fine

Feathers can't win to it

Nor the finest wine.

The softest of them all

The whitest of the white

I dream as I lay there

Wide awake with delight.

The bed of my dear king

Can conqur your heart

Can take away your fright

Can fight away the dark.

I admire it as I watch

My dear king's sleeping face

Bathed in moonlight

Delightful and with grace.

The bed of my dear king

Is there no more

The God's took it away

When he left my dreams

And was gone.
