Do you remember the waterfall that we saw and I said,
“I want to jump in” just to escape everything but it was too big a fall from where I was.
So I stayed on my feet.
The waterfall itself was a small falls, but a falls nonetheless, and
We stood, un-touching, peacefully, until I felt your grip around my hips and then we were still again
As the waterfall fell.
I couldn’t help but think that, in all its grace and glory the waterfall
Was very much like you. Strong and
Outspoken but honestly vulnerable (like when you spit into it
And it accepted the abuse.)
Ironic, how the strongest boy I know
Fell so fast.
And ironically you were still holding my hips,
and I was on my feet.

I wonder if you let go, how hard I will fall, how fast I will fall and when I will hit
Bottom.
I hope you will catch me, with your strength like the water,
Carry me as I carry on,
Fallen.
I feel your arms around me
Though the waterfall has recycled itself by now,
Though you are not with me,
As you promised you wouldn’t leave.

I am scared to fall,
Scared to find I will hit bottom with no one to ease the shock.
I am scared to fall,
But like the water does,
So will I.
