Everything that is done in the world is done by hope.

It is not darkness,
For it does brighten.
It is not an endless flame,
For it does weaken.

It is
What you make of it.
No one else
May control it.

It can be a rose
Blossoming in the springtime,
Or a cloud
To cast away the light.

It is a path that you choose,
But you must not stray.
For without direction,
Why do we live?

You carry the meaning in the poem very well, as someone already said it was inspirational; it encourages and gives faith, as well as people the belief of control over their lives. Your description was very good, simple to understand and it was quick to give the poem meaning. Well Done :)

Great poem. Short and sweet, with so much meaning inside of it.

They way you crafted this poem makes the message you're conveying more inspirational. I think my favorite may be the opening lines. They really set off the rest of the poem in a great way. Nice Job!

I enjoyed this poem. It had good rhythm and pace.

Very pretty. Well written, and well thought out—and hey, I share the optimism :P glad to see a poem that's not all dungeons and darkness, yadayada XD. Overall, good rhythm, imagery, and your idea behind it was flawless and deep. Good job :)

Lovely poem, but I can't say that I share your optimism.

All I can say is "WOW". This poem is amazing and my favorite of yours (out of what I've read).

Well written poetry. I enjoy the point the author of the poem tries to stress and would encourage him to continue writing poems because that is in his/her own way thier "path" as mentioned
