Dandelions
Have you ever felt
like a dandelion?
That at one time,
you were strong and bright.
Seems like that
was just last week.
Now you're colorless.
Bland, even. You're
holding together, but
sooner or later
the wind is going
to blow you down.
Parts of you will drift away
and settle in remote lands.
Parts of you
will wither and decay.
Either way,
you will discover
that you can't reel yourself
back in from so many
different directions.
You can't regain
your color.
You won't be strong
ever again.
Your only options
are to revive your parts,
take root in some
hopeful grounds;
or let yourself die.
I know which one
I'd choose.
