Any success I have ever had has been a result of hard work.

Your name
Etched into a tombstone
In the graveyard of my memory
Left as a memorial
Until the weathering of age
Gradually decays my remembrance

Your name is still clear
Wrapped in plastic

Sometimes I walk
To your stone
An unhealthy withdrawal symptom
Followed by immediate regret
And depression

The path I follow is muddied by my tears
But now you lay buried
You dug the hole

I think everyone can relate to this. I like that it wasn't too long or too short, and you didn't go too into detail with the metaphor, which is refreshing every once in a while. Nice job :)

I read this poem and i feel remorse, and that mabey i should look back on my life and question. Mabey i would question what i've done and mabey what i should have done. This is quite a butiful poem and it compels me to wonder. What a sorrow of feelings someone must have to write and think about one person for this poem. Memories come to mind about friends that i miss and will never see agin. Thank you for this experience that i will never forget.

Love this, it can be so literal but yet symbolic!
