Weeping willow

The music has faded,
Background noise consists,
Hallowing of the wind,
Barking of the dog.
Clouds have rolled in,
Casting earth with shadow,
Trees overgrown retreat,
Except the weeping willow.
Rebelling against the storm,
Wet wind, white rain,
Persistent is the weeping willow,
Taking on a coat of white.
Harboring winged criminals,
And rain as it melts,
Persistent is the weeping willow,
Waiting for the sun.
