At The Close of The Day
The sun sank lower and lower,
The stars began to show,
The breeze floated through the green lovely trees,
At the close of the day.
People began walking faster,
Cars appeared on the road,
Things were bought for dinner,
At the close of the day.
Some beautiful calls were heard,
As the birds flew to their nests,
They softly sang each other to sleep,
At the close of the day.
Somewhere, a baby was born.
Somewhere, a wedding took place.
Somewhere, a journey started.
Somewhere, a quest concluded.
Somewhere, somewhere, somewhere,...
And I feel as though I missed it and it's beauty,
Not realizing 'til it was too late.
