The Internal Battle

The sun may be shining
The birds may be chirping
The flowers may be blooming
But none of that matters
I can't see any of it
I'm caught in a trap
There's no escape in sight
I try with all my might
I can't give up without a fight
But when your world is dark
And your future is stark
It's hard to keep fighting
Especially when you're only fighting yourself
