A Cry in the Dark MAG

If I were to be
perfectly honest with myself,
I loved the way my stomach
cried out to me in the darkness
last night.
Finally, my body understands
what it is like to ask
and not receive
as it has done to me
all the times I've asked it
to look different.

The separation of mind and body is perfect. Congratulations on being published!
It's exceptional the way that you can convey so much emotion in such small text. This is definitely applicable to lots of people and I think that it is a very accurate comparison. I loved it! No criticism. Please keep writing and I'll keep reading. (:
