Autumn
I sense it…
In the surrant of the wind
So near-
But departed before adolescence
Merely a child-
Always en route ‘round the world
I yearn its arrival every year
Never what you expect
Every year, leaves of confused complexion
Always inconstant, never related,
Intensely breathing in the wind
It will return in time,
Only to abandon us to the frigid of winter
Yet again
