My Body
My hands are a desert
Tarnished with time,
Dried by the daunting
Mountains I’ve climbed.
My eyes are a city
Flowing with motion,
Seen from the sky
As an idle commotion.
My mind is an island
Lusciously distant,
A life in an ocean
But to you nonexistent.
My heart is a temple
Constructed to last,
But ravaged by scratches
Of visions long past.
