When i was little/I used to point a chubby finger toward the dark sky/And ask my father/why some stars moved and others didn’t/He would laugh and explain that some were airplanes/I still wish on them today ~ Laugh-It-Out
The feathers of a crow are black/The ink of my pen is blacker/The pain of my heart is blackest~ Mckay
If love produced a blossom/I’d take it in my palm/What a blessing, the bright color!/How soothing, such a balm!/I’d keep a petal for my own/The rest, drop from my hands/For such a flower would multiply/And populate the lands~ thesilentraven
And I began to rival legends/Long entombed before my birth./But for all my much envied fame/The lust for more would not abate./The plaques and prizes with my name/Will, like all things, disintegrate. ~ TheEpic95 now known as Helena_Noel

What faith I had is all but gone
What hope I’d held on to for long
That little amount is withering
My pulsating heart, swaying
For now I have stepped
From the land of belief
To the land of practicality
The miracles I’d believed in
The stars I used to wish upon
The Eyelashes and Dandelions
that I blew away
With such stark blind trust
Betrayal
Is all I feel today
Innocence
They took away
When
proclaimed this wishing
And believing is all for
Naught

Oh Em. Your words just made me so ecstatic. I just really try to put into words my thoughts but on the way they get jumbled up :P I even wrote that poem about this titled "In Between Simplicity and Complexity" which you have read. So I guess I just am never sure about a poem until you lovely people come here and tell me all about it. So thank you so much for always coming here. Your words mean the world to me. <3

This is gorgeous! I love how you used capitalization in the line about the eyelashes and dandelions. That and the two lines after it are my favorite, they give the sorrow of the poem a beautiful visual anchor. :D

I love the line about eyelashes and dandelions (especially how you capitalized them). I absolutely ADORE the word "pulsating." YOu used it perfectly in line 5... The last third of the poem is really my favorite part. I love the spacing and how you separated the words for emphasis. THe last two lines... perfect!! I would usually say that you should give some background on why you've lost trust, but personally I like the vagueness here. I love vague poems... Overall, really cool.
