people
sometimes the people you meet aren’t even that special
it’s just the context you meet them in
the random words they chose to say
were maybe exactly what you needed to hear
and the beating pulse of the pouring rain
well it was only the weather
but it set the scene
for destiny
for what you felt to be chemistry
fantasy
a mystery
sometimes the people you meet aren’t even that special
what was special was that you were looking for them
and they were looking for you
both looking for the connection in that happenstance
and together
everything felt right
even for that day or month or moment
just being in their sight
it wasn’t even them
it might have even been everything they didn’t say
sometimes the people you meet aren’t even that special
what’s special is the memory
everything happened after you met them
or they way they let you forget them
