Lily the name that he whispers in the night
Lily the girl who was to run away with him
Lily the one who haunts his dreams
Lily the girl who never came
Lily once the child who played and ran with such joy
Lily she ran that night too
Lily bursting with joy, of being with her one true love
Lily's scream pierced the air that night
By the time he found his beloved she had already gone from this life into the next
Lily a young girl now gone
No one knows what she saw that
