Paranoia

My comatose heart was still
While you shot to infinity and back
A bullet hole through my left eye,
Right hand,
Whole heart.

And I have become porous
Like a sieve
Like a sponge
And your dirt seeps through my holes
And it is now mine and not yours
So I let you plug me up and color me in
One part human, One part waste

And it feels like a rainstorm
Click-clacking on the pavement
Letting the words all fall out
Making room for all of the above
Because my option never truly was
Though I couldn’t have imagined how serene it feels, to
Just let them go.

Even now, your echoes dance
Along my synapse paths
And still you tell me
Tell me
Tell me,
Tell me, again
