Sweetie, if you're going to be two faced, at least make one of them pretty. - Marilyn Monroe

Bending, breaking
My heart stops
They say I’ll be OK
They also say that I miss you
Which is true?

Smiling, laughing
My heart beats
They say I’m funny
They also say I have no humor
Which is true?

Hiding, crying
My heart freezes
They say I’m beautiful
They also say I have no looks
Which is true?

I’ll inhale your lies
As you praise me
As you break me
I’ll smile and cry
And you won’t even look
The girl in the dress?
She’s so gone
She left the moment she saw you
She ran away, like history
And she will never run back

I’ll inhale your lies
As I sit and write
I’m so tired
I write so loud
Why don’t you hear?
Lie to me, cry to me
You seem to love doing both
Read my lips
The joke is on you

I’ll inhale your lies
As I shatter
As I break
As I bend
Locked in myself
I’m not a princess
Don’t rescue what isn’t yours
Just leave me here, chained
As I slowly wither away
Like autumn leaves
On frozen streets
I hate reality

Let me inhale your lies

Everyone is always telling everybody else things that they don't mean and I'm just sick of it. They talk behind your back and make up rumors that make you sound horrible. Humans lie. And this is just representing that.

That is again a play off of a song, in the movie Lemonade Mouth, which for some reason came into my mind when I was writing this. (The indian girl)

"Be the change you wish to see in the world."

This is a really good, relatable, original topic. The lines "She ran away, like history, and she will never run back" I don't like, because history does come back. History repeats itself all the time. History is always here also. That is my biggest issue with the poem. I really enjoyed the topic.
