&quot;I may be drunk, Miss, but in the morning I will be sober and you will still be ugly.&quot;<br /> -Winston Churchill

Tossed asunder,
Broken and battered,
Nightmares in slumber,
A soul has shattered.

Toyed by life,
And trapped in pain,
Drowned in strife,
Loved ne'er again.

A past of hate,
Dissension arisen,
Forgotten by Fate,
A needed reason.

A hole dug so deep,
From any light,
Dark thoughts creep,
no purpose; no fight.

From nurture,
From care,
Life's usurper;
Death is near.

It's touch is cold,
But voice so sweet,
Lovely and bold
To take that leap.

Love is a forage,
And hard to clasp.
So take Death's courage
Or fight its grasp?

A promise so real:
A life without grief?
A promise surreal,
A cunning thief.

Life should be precious,
Held dear to the heart,
But is it a fascist
Ruling aloof and apart?

Where is its promise
Like Death has done?
Dispatched with a kiss,
And loved by no-one.

A silent prayer
Through a narrow conduit
For whosoever
May desire my Spirit.

Falling and falling...
Tumbling and tumbling...

A weightless sense,
However brief,
Though the Darkness is dense,
It is a life without grief.

The author's comments:
Depression is not to be toyed with. Bullying is not a toy, so don't play with it. Help out those that seem down, no matter how insignificant their sadness seems, for a small insignificant indent in the sidewalk could be the only forewarning of a massive sinkhole.

The act of taking ones own life should not be seen as an act of cowardice, instead it should be thought of as bravery, imagine the pain that that person had to go through to come to the conclusion that the only escape was through death...

Indubitably, suicide encourages us all to rethink the way we last acted to someone who needed help or how we ignored someone who looked down today. So think about it this way:
Some may think suicide is cowardly, but the person who committed suicide is a Martyr Nonetheless.

&quot;I&#039;d wanted to stay on that porch with him until the sun shone bright on both of us, but i didn&#039;t. I stood up and walked down the steps. I&#039;d rather chase the sun than wait for it.&quot; from I am the Messanger by Markus Zusak.

the vocabulary and rhymes are stunning!
