Porcelain

Freeze.
The porcelain engulfs me whole
And drags me to the new world.

Silence.

All except the beating,
That continuous beating
That threatens to melt my brain
And rob all reason from the world.

I wait until it hits,
But it arrived a long time ago,
Rising slowly as
The angry squeezing of the
Creature hidden in the hollow
Of the planet I adore

Grasps the very concept of well-being,
And mutates it into something
Desirable.

That’s it,
That’s all,
And I give in to it.
