Another Dark Night
Just another night of sitting up,
awake.
Finishing
finished books.
The sand man is late,
where could he be?
My pillow,
has been catching dust.
My hair,
is tangle free.
There is no indent,
in my mattress.
The rest of the world,
might as well be dead,
there is not a single sound around.
There is not a stir
in the house.
A rustle
in the country.
A peep
in the world.
The darkness is so dark,
you can't even see the tip
of your nose.
The silence,
is so thick,
you could cut it with a knife.
