Jealousy's thorns

Jealousy is the thorns you find on a roses steam.
The thorns poke right through your soul.
Jealousy grips your heart and tears it to shreds.
It doesn’t leave any innocent bystanders.
It turns you green with its manipulation
And doesn’t let you forget what’s not yours.
Jealousy lovingly takes time to tread your heart through its thorns.
Making you feel what’s not yours.
It takes everyone’s heart by a rough grip,
Making its thorns poke through your soul
It doesn’t leave chance to change
And doesn’t leave anyone alone.
