The things you love make you who you are
I walked through the large double doors.
like a portal to a whole new world
A parallel universe of dark energized rooms with flashes of colors and swarming bodies

I found my friends in front of a large speaker.
we exchanged greetings and squeals of excitement.
This moment that would stick with me for the rest of my life began.

I stood in front of the monstrous speaker a song started to play,
it was quieter than a mouse
 volume slowly gained
 becoming almost deafening
bass so hard and loud it shook the ground,
the guitar and drums vibrated the air,
the vocalist singing out to the world.

I visualized the music as a fog
 settling over my body.
 Sinking to my bones,
 filling my lungs
crackling like electricity in my veins
my hips swaying to the beat.

 My head was spinning
 heart pumping.
 blood boiling
I felt so alive as if I had never lived before.
 That moment I was whole.
I realized what I wanted to do with my life
and who i wanted to be

after that I was never without music
we went through life hand in hand
 a soundtrack to my life
a soul intertwined with a passion

It was with me and I with it,
and until death do us part.
