The Eyes of a Flapper

My bob has been freshly cut it drapes just past my chin.
Long ropes of pearls cover my long
Golden dress, a Baby Vamp and I walk.
As I look to my left I see Al Capone.
On my right stands Louis Armstrong
Everywhere I look I see many Joe Brooks and Drugstore Cowboys.
And newly returning military boys pining for a Wife.
And I walk.
I set out to look over the balcony of
The New York penthouse and see the city.
The lights like stars on river of a new age
Oh to live in the Twenties.
To live Gatsby, to live Egg, and to live free
