Queen Within
Shiny glass,
 Hanging on the wall,
 There is a double twin,
 Empty eyes staring,

 Fingertips press,
 Leaving prints,
 In desperation to rub away
 The imperfections.

 Exhale a breath,
 Shatter the glass,
 Break the porcelain,
 Stay fragile.

 Glass shards remain,
 Slivers of flaws,
 Mirror, mirror on the wall,
Who’s the fairest of them all.
