alone on a secluded street
left with nothing but my thoughts and the memories they keep
darkness encompassing me
everything looks different in the dark
headlights shine from cars driving past
tired but not the kind of tired sleep fixes
my eyelids heavy with the weight of the day
I could go anywhere
just drive and drive
the road and me
but I don’t
maybe tonight

Leave nothing but footprints,
Take nothing but pictures,
Kill nothing but time.

The start of the poem is very strong, and it is nice to find a piece of work that is as relatable to as many people as I believe your poem will be.

this captures something I've always felt really accurately!!!! but unlike you i still can't put it into words lol... love the drowsy feeling this poem carries.
