Unwanted Gifts
A huge frightening world
of white men.
America.
Nothing’s the same anymore,
Not the moon,
Not the stars,
Not us.
The white men
change us.
Tame us and beat us,
like we are their
animals,
their slaves.
No real doctors for us.
Devils,
hidden in doctor’s clothes.
Who let boiling tar
heal whip lash.
We have but one thing
To focus on
now,
survival.
Whoever knew
Survival is so
Hard?
They treat us
Like savages.
Who are they
to say that?
We are no less
civil than those white men.
They torment us,
sell us,
work us to the sky.
We never deserved that.
But we will
fight back.
And win.
