Friends
When I was just a little girl
My friends consisted of tree material manufactured in a factory
They were my life, my essence, my world
When I had to give them away I found my whole world was shattering
When I read their happy stories I pretended they were my own
Because even in my nightmares I was alone
It was just me running away from all that there was
Something no little girl should ever have to do but in some sad cases does
But now I have these friends made of the same material I am
Who have the same way of dreaming the impossible and then making it happen
When I was just a little girl
My friends consisted of tree material that's always growing
They are my life, my essence, they are glowing
