I will try

As I lay here on the ground I see them pass me, I see them watch me, I see them laughing. Why do they act like I cannot hear them? Why do they think they are superior? As they pass I realize my place. The child of shadows, the child of darkness, the child of nothing. But as I look up I see a light. I see a hope. I see a life worth living. I run towards it not stopping, not listening, not wanting. As they tell me I cannot make it, I will try.

I think if I hadn't read your post in the forum even though it still would have been strong and deep, it makes it even more powerful. You have amazing writing potentional. Use it to your advantage. :)
