maybe i know that you'll crave my secure arms someday, but i'll have come across someone who wasn't afraid. and that's why i can't let go.

I removed the layers of blankets from my aching bones
to excavate the secrets that were held together by saliva
in papier-mâché envelopes, only to chew on disappointments
and lie on shards of fragile stained glass that tampered with my flaws,
instead of putting me back together with multicolored duct tape
so gray was only found inside of my body.

I wrung the tears from your sweatshirt and decided it was time
to give it back to you, in exchange for my serpent heart

[barely beating,

barely breathing];
instead of curling inside your stomach and making you
nearly as ill as I had become, just by drinking venomous nectar
and digesting fireflies so a small portion of me would feel alive,
I climbed over your picket fence and let you recline my eyes
in another awkward position to the point where I only chain-smoked
the main exhibits of your aesthetic proportions and declined
every deficiency of the person you truly are,

i. blunt

"I realize that life is risks. It's acknowledging the past but looking forward. It's taking chances that we will make mistakes but believeing we all deserve to be forgiven."

ummm....I'm just wondering why you feel the need to be so cruel and unecessarily rude to others. I find it really shallow and pathetic of you. you can stop putting people down like you're so much better than everyone else. It's really quite embaressing for yourself. You can state your oppinion, but you don't have to go about it in a rude way. Just a thought.

"There exists no heaven and no hell, nothing to look forward to after we have gone to ashes; live every moment NOW, and make things happen the way you want to in this lifetime; not the next."

I love the feeling of ambiguity you have incorporated in this as well as the deep emotions it conveys. I also LOVE the comparison you have made with the heart and the serpent :)

Well done! ^.^

I love this because it doesn't have a clear plot or story to tell, but it just gives a feeling. In reading this, I feel like I am with you under the blankets and there in the moment experiencing what you're describing, and feeling what you're feeling. I really enjoyed it.

Yesterday is history. Tommorrow is a mystery. And today? Today is a gift that's why they call it the present.

WHAT? spelling--wrong

and you stated " i wish i can't explain how good this is"

don't you mean you wish you could???

try proof-reading

the title was creative but let's get to the point.....

in the beginning you start with blankets------fine.

then you totally switch completly and start jumping all over the place.

where's the concept? the plot? the theme? to tell you the truth i was very....confused. try to stay in one place. it's almost like you are a painter and you are painting so many things on one canvas that the people viewing it...have no idea of what it's supposed to be. GIVE CLEAR IDEA OF WHAT'S HAPPENING.

his is very unique-- I really like your style! I love how the whole poem just doesn't stop until the end, I was constantly feeling the words and I was really affected by your bold and vivid language. Nice Job!!

"Margo was not a miracle. She was not an adventure. She was not a fine and precious thing. She was a girl." ~Paper Towns

This is incredible. Every word was touching and unique. It reminds me of an E. E. Cummings poem-- I want to read it over and over, just because it sounds so beautiful. I know that it means alot, too.
