Spin
Round and round.
I smell the glistening sweat slide down my back, racing each drop.
Round and round.
I feel my impatience rise faster than my teacher can yell...
Round and round!
The three hours race by, not slowing down to my liking. No longer am I going...
Round and round.
My hands slip, slide over my silky pointe shoe ribbons, like a newborn deer.
The gorgeous slipper sticks to my bloody, shaking foot.
My tears threaten to bombard my tight cheeks. But...
Beauty is pain, right?
Drops of red jewels splash on my bright, light pink pointe shoes.
Thats fine. I will break EVERY single bone in my body before I stop dancing.
My mind goes to the figure with my face going...
