One Sentence Poems
I.
Running,
through the rain,
wearing
my shiny new hunter boots
stepping
in every puddle,
soaking
my whole entire body-
except for my feet.
II.
My favorite time of the day
is the evening,
when the sky is full of color;
purple, pink, blue, and orange,
and the sun begins to set.
III.
The beach
makes me feel
free,
alive,
and able to forget
all the bad memories
that I don’t want to remember.
IV.
Grasping my pole
while running down the runway,
planting and swinging
my body over the bar,
clearing it;
is why I love pole vaulting.
V.
Saying goodbye
to someone you love
is the most painful thing;
but knowing
you will get to see them soon,
makes the pain bearable.
