Bound
Staring in silence
At the single tiny window
Watching the only shaft of light
Shine through the black room;
"Will I die today?"
I silently ask myself
Tugging at the heavy chains
Connecting my ankles to the floor;
Suddenly it comes
The sharp endless pain
Over and over
Piercing my torso;
Collapsing on the floor
I look up to see
The familiar, blurry outline of a man'
And as the blood begins
Gushing from my wounds
He wraps me in his arms
And pulls me close
Holding me tighter and tighter
As the walls close in
The pain perseveres
But finally everything goes black--
And I'm back in my bed
Covered in sweat
And sobbing
