Together
She’s that girl
sitting in the corner of the room
wide blue eyes scan the walls
 pale weak hands
 tremble
 reflecting her innocent soul
 she closes in
 blending with the dark shadows
 a small desire
 to smile at the sun
 dance in the rain
let the drops soak her skin
 a small hope
 to laugh with her friends
 heart filled with love
 but her hearts
 fluttering
 she’s struggling
 with life
trapped in a room of white
 heart pounding
 she’s fighting a battle
 her body feels weak
 with despair
 but her mind’s
 pushing forward
 she’s holding on
 to life
 in mind
 and in spirit
 in sorrow
 and in pain
 I’m holding on
 with her
