I Am A Window
I AM A WINDOW
Sometimes I get broken
I watch as something gets closer and closer
Until I shatter
I AM A WINDOW
Sometimes I crack
I’m so close to my end
But oddly...still stable
I AM A WINDOW
I watch the rain slide down
Just like tears
Then I realize, they are my tears
I AM A WINDOW
You can see right through me
These bitter truths that lie within
Covered by a window; hidden
I AM A WINDOW
I let the sun get close
I let it warm me in it’s rays
Like a smile; like hope
but still…..
I AM A WINDOW
My view, limitless
yet, I’m still trapped inside.
