The two men shake hands
A bargain has been made
For a nameless daughter
Her will never asked
Up she trudges
Up to the castle
And down
Down to the dungeon
Where silently she weeps
For she knows in her heart
Never again will she see the sun rise
Then comes a tap at her shoulder
And the nameless maiden looks up
To see a strange little face
Peering through the gloom
And when the offer is made
The nameless queen of course says yes
Yes you can take them all
For I want no daughter of mine
To have to spin straw into gold
