A Dead Body Under The Flat
There lay a corpse at the foot of the flat
Close kins in white, relatives in black
Tables and chairs were as white as snow
which were arranged neatly at the void deck
a grieving family struggling with their broken hearts
young kids lost their grandfather
a spell befall the family again
if the adults serve in agony
no day was a rest day
as rituals were conducted
bang clang clattery ding
a peaceful neighbourhood instantly turned into a racket
that day the corpse turned into ashes
no one dared to be absent
for he was greatly respected
and so that he could live in peace.
