Fighting Fire
frozen in time
out of fear,
not ice.
frozen in fire.
with the belief that frozen
means momentarilly invincible.
motionless
protected from the catalysts
that create a reaction
that becomes an explosion
unfrozen cannot mean thawed
when it means burnt.
scortched.
scarred.
hurt.
frozen is isolation
from the pain
and the fire.
until muscles itch
skin gets sore
bones grow weak
slip...
face the fire.
burn.
freeze again.
