Do you remember me?
Do you remember me?
I'm that little girl who always came to school battered
And finally escaped my Daddy's rage when my teacher called the police
Do you remember me?
I'm the old woman helped across the street by a young man
Do you remember me?
I'm the boy who didn't commit suicide because my best friend told my parents
I hated him at first, but now I am grateful when I continue to wake up each morning
Do you remember me?
I'm the kitten who safely made it down the tree to his owners
Because a good samaratin allowed himself to be clawed at by me when she helped me down
Do you remember me?
I'm the girl who finally showed up to school unafraid of bullies
Because my best friend told the teacher what was going on
Do you remember me?
I'm the little girl who grew into a wonderful woman
Because I looked up to my older brother and he set a good example
Do you remember me?
I'm the boy who finally quit drugs
Because my guidence councelor got me help
You probably don't remember me
I remember you
You saved me

One of my middle school teachers (when I was bullied a lot) told me that in ten years time, people who I help won't remember who I am and won't recognize me on the street, but they'll always remember what I did for them.
