Evening Nights
Walking through the crowd of monotone umbrellas.
Peering through the hazy clouds, it’s spotted, contrastingly bright.
Sniffing out the aromatic coffee past the thick earthy fog.
Evading the solemn faces of passersby.
Pushing open the large, wet, metallic door into a warm embrace.
Once glaring lights now calming comfort.
Bitter liquids along with sickly sweet breads on brown napkins.
Sitting in wooden chairs with tables meant for chess.
Clanking cups and chatter to faint melodies from above.
Evening nights like this is harmony.
