Once Upon a Summer Night
  Once upon a summer night
  when fireflies were at work
a blissful sky of wishing starlight
  and the pound of fireworks
My hair once loose, was in a braid
and a yukata cloaked my essence
however, being thin, it was later said
my aura was held in nature’s remembrance
My actions were of no particular reason
  except simple inclination
but my heart yearns for another person
  of a similar disposition
and it was once upon a summer night
that I witness these hasty feelings
so I’ll smile and shrug the passing sight
since it was only temporarily appealing
It was one, it was two, it was three, four, five
  before I reclaimed my senses
and I said “ it seems that only during summer nights
do I spin my ethereal nonsense!”
