Sending me texts all night
Messages expressing your love for me
Saying that I am beautiful
But
Making me vow
To keep the messages from your girlfriend
At school you wrap your arm around her shoulders
Kiss her cheek
She smiles with happiness
You don’t even talk to me at school
But at night my phone buzzes like a hive of bees on steroids
I wish you said these things to me to my face
Like you do to your girlfriend
Because at school I’m jealous
Not of her, but of what you and her have
Why don’t you tell the truth?
