WSJ Love Poem
  Six months…
  first summer since diagnosis.
  I hold back the pain,
  rapidly growing anxiety,
  and overwhelming ailments.
  John is my breath,
  my quality of life,
  and a therapist.
  One who…
gives a vacation to everyday life,
costs a great deal to help me,
  is of spiritual support,
  and my regimen oxygen.
  His radiation feels acute,
with legs that stand for me,
and a satisfaction boost for relief.
  A lifestyle...
  that walk-the-walk,
  growing day-by-day,
  a stable medicine back-to-back,
and an optimistic cure growing down my spine.
