gasping

i was swimming in life
and i was doing okay
i had never taken a lesson before!
and i saw you standing there
watching me
and then you jumped in with me
and i told you i didnt need any help
you said okay
and then
you held me under
and i was gasping for air,
for some relief from life
because i was drowning in my problems
and you were the one who kept me held under there.
