I can’t help but wonder where we would be if we’d never met

What things we would have done,
the things we would have held in our memory.
What things would we have the ability to do
if only we let the lights shine through.
Without you I am a fish out of water gulping and gasping for air,
when you leave you take the air I need to breathe away.
When will I be unaffected by your evilness?
when will I finally be able to awake in the morning without the sharp pain in my heart.
When you left you took a part of my body, mind, and soul with you.
you ran away with my heart. Don’t you know that I need that to live on through this crisis?
You made me believe that you loved me.
you made everyone believe that you could have been mine and mine alone.
BUT you lied. You took my heart with open greedy hands and once I no longer owned my own heart you ripped it away.
I haven’t seen or heard from you since that fateful day,
when the man and his stolen heart had gone astray.
