During the early mornings of spring
I dash out of bed, grab my pale, and bolt out the door.
All I can think about is the
plump, overripe, juicy strawberries
waiting patiently to be picked and washed.

The berries are filled with joy in every bite.
Sweet red juice runs down my mouth onto my overalls.
Little seeds stick between my teeth.
They’re Mother Nature’s kisses,
Staining my lips red.

Rows and Rows of vibrant green leaves
scattered with red dots
leave my eyes in a puzzle.
Such a succulent delight I think
As I splurge into my collection of berries
