Scars

Scars will fade, wounds will heal, let me tell you how I feel.
Six little cuts, one deeper than another, fill my arm and the other.
I keep them hidden, under my sleeve, I won’t mention how much they bleed.
Tears fill my eyes, regret fills my mind, emptiness is left behind.
Look at the moon and I’ll be there, a little girl who never got to life her veil.
