So why?
Why the pain you put me through? You gave my worst nightmare. The horror of knowing you, you, would do this to me. I believed in you, in us, that we'll be a forever. But you don't understand. When I first met you, my heart didn't jump, it stopped. Because all my life I've been looking for love. Yet! You were the Devil's son under clothing of happiness that could never be invented. You were the everything I wanted. Then you were the worst I could ever have IN HISTORY! I put my life in your hands, but you took it! Through it to the fire! and you burned me alive. So why?

I made this poem in my creative writing class when I was a freshman. This poem shows another side of my writings. Hopefully I can show Teen Ink other sides as well.
