The Girl Fights To Win
nails red as blood drag the whispers from your soul a sharp painful twist a knife with a familiar role eyes too dark to see through to the power from within the girl takes no prisoners this girl fights to win
the spots never change but drip blue blood a heart too sour to count on 'love' banished from her tongue a bus whisks her away when she wants to be gone the girl knows the limits and cuts them down to dust she'll charm you with her smile, she'll warm you with her praise lower the stairs to the gateway then trap you in a maze
she's the last sip in a soda can she drifts off your fingers like a pocket of sand she's the second hand on the school wall clock she's slipped away with the other sock she twirls and twirls colors fly by hands to the sky she closes her eyes feels her head hit the clouds and starts falling down.
