Stranger of the Night
There she sat
Alone
Weak
Vulnerable
Craving the companionship of an honest soul
But that isn’t what came her way
What came her way was torment
A kind of relentless agony that tore away at her
She bellowed and shrieked
But to no avail
She was forsaken
She was left forlorn
There she sat
Releasing a feigned snicker
She just couldn’t resist
That was the only way for her to endure the state of utter depression
So there she sat
Falsely chuckling at the moon
Appearing insane to strangers
When as a matter of fact
She was a stranger to herself
