To Be Entirely Clear
To be perfectly candid;
 To be entirely clear,
 I didn’t think things would transpire,
 As they so easily did.

 And it was good,
 As it was fine.
 I felt like I was so much higher,
 As I remained where I stood.

 But now that I’ve seen how unstable;
 How completely faulty this ground is,
 I don’t plan on staying a thought of the prior,
 Not when there’s much that is fable.

 I know there’s more out there;
 I know what I want.
 It’s time for me to retire;
 To get out of this snare.
